Every auction has a buyer who missed it.
Price guides track what sold. 2ndBids finds the buyers for what didn't. Buyers post the one that got away, along with the terms they'd pay. When a car doesn't close, whether the winner can't finish, the buyer flakes or the reserve isn't met, we match it with the people who wanted it.
The ones that got away

Missed the end? Found it after it sold? Got outbid?
Post the car and your terms, like covering the winner's buyer's fee plus 10%. If it doesn't close, or it comes up again, you're matched first.
I won a car and can't close
Buyers who missed your car may already be waiting. The one you're matched with reimburses your buyer's fee as part of the take-over price.
The winner backed out and the runner-up passed
Don't start over on a classifieds site. Your auction result, photos and bidding history still count here. Buyers who wanted this exact car are matched first, and new buyers make committed offers near your hammer price.
My car bid to less than my reserve
The high bid shows what the market will pay. List it here with your real floor, and buyers who missed the auction can meet it.

How a handoff works
Paste the auction link
We read the lot: the car, the result, the hammer price or high bid, and the buyer's fee. A countdown shows buyers the pay-by deadline.
Take committed offers
Buyers offer at or above the take-over price, which includes the original buyer's fee, and commit to pay before the deadline.
Close the deal
The buyer closes with the original seller, or you buy and resell right away, whichever the platform's terms allow.
When an auction doesn't close
What happens when a car auction ends with reserve not met?
The car doesn't sell. The seller can negotiate with the high bidder, use the platform's after-auction options, relist, or list it on 2ndBids, where buyers who missed that exact car are matched first.
What if the winning bidder doesn't pay?
Bids are binding on the major sites, and a winner who walks away can lose their buyer's fee and account. If the runner-up passes too, list the car on 2ndBids to reach committed backup buyers instead of starting over.
I missed a car on Bring a Trailer or Cars & Bids. Can I still get it?
Sometimes. Post the one that got away with the auction link or VIN and your terms. If that car doesn't close, comes back up for sale, or its owner hears offers, you're matched first.
I won an auction but can't close. What are my options?
Talk to the seller and platform right away. Where the platform's terms allow, a buyer who missed the car can take it over or buy it from you after you close, often reimbursing your buyer's fee.
Is 2ndBids affiliated with the auction sites?
No. 2ndBids is independent. Every listing links to the original lot, and sellers are reminded of their platform's rules before they list.
What does 2ndBids cost?
Posting, browsing, wishes, offers and messages are free. A yearly membership is needed at your first match: to accept an offer, or to see the other side's contact details.
Read the guides: reserve not met, winner didn't pay, missed an auction, won but can't close.
